I have installed version 1.3.8 on tp-link TL-WR741ND, everything seems fine but when i try to download a file the connection gets reset and i get a "Socket Error=10054" in my download manager..if i remove TL-WR741ND from the equation i.e connect directly to the modem i can download the file without disconnection...i am using QOS which i have tried disabling with no luck
Also how can i restore the original firmware?
One more thing i noticed, Telnet does not works but SSH does

I make a few comments.
I have the TL-WR741ND and have had no issues with downloading large files so while that does not help you it at least tells you that it can work.
Next, I would encourage to you bring this up on the OpenWRT forum. Here we are working on a user interface for OpenWRT. What you describe seems more like a problem in OpenWRT if not a problem with your ISP.
Next, the DD-WRT post you referenced indicated that problem was solved by cloning a MAC address. Did you try that approach?
Finally, have you tired a different browser? I once had issues with TCPReset events on a high latency link. These issues were a problem with IE and Firefox but not an issues with Chrome. Don't ask me why.
I do not know the procedure to revert to stock firmware. You might also find that at OpenWRT.

Cloning the MAC address and changing browsers didn't help, i have now flashed the stock firmware and the problem is gone...I have started a thread at openwrt forums....
