Quota failing to throttle connection

Hi,

I have a WRT1900ACS running 1.9.X (Built 20161107-1156 git@93ae2e4)

After Setting an upload quota limit for a particular device on my network, I wanted the router to throttle the connection speed rather than stop it. However the router appears to be have its own ideas and is stopping internet activity for this device and presenting the router login screen.

Out of curiosity I tried the same scenario for download only and got the same loss of internet connectivity

Typically as a download test I set my download limit to 50mb which when reached should throttle the download connection to 10mb/s and reset the quota daily at 12:00am, all other settings I left as unlimited.

Thanks

Just double checking you intended to throttle to 1 MEGABYTE per second?

Please try setting up a simple qos class with a max speed of the limit you want to apply.
Then in the limit field you can set it to the qos class instead of a numeric value

Hi,

The throttle of 1 MEGABYTE per second was as a test only, I had tried it numerous times prior with different speeds to make sure it wasn't something I was doing wrong.

I'll give your suggestion a try and report back

Thanks
