I think it will work if you use the same WEP encryption key for both AP and client.

Also... WEP is really insecure. I'm not inclined to spend too much energy addressing this, simply because, given a choice, everyone should be using wpa/wpa2. WEP is provided only for backwards compatibility with older devices.

Yep - I know all about the WEP key hacking.

Not a problem here, my only Wireless-G is WEP-128 bit for my
Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. I've got nothing else on those
bands. Everything else is running on Wireless-N with WPA2-AES.

I'll see if I can figure out a way to do pure WPA testing.

I'm pretty sure that's what causing my crashes, mixing the WEP
in there. If it was all WPA/WPA2 - it'd probably be up way longer.

That was what I was hoping to get in replies, that everyone was
using WPA or WPA2 and nobody was using WEP.
If that was the case, then I know and wouldn't bother reporting
or considering it any issue on my part

Edit: Uptime of over 2 days now, and AP+Client is still running.

Definitely not adviseable, just testing I was trying out in my setup.
