We aren't surprised to hear reports of devices with 4mb of flash starting to fail.

Interesting. I have not run it as a gateway. It's very stable as a Client Bridge Repeater.

Device Name:TL-WR841N
Gargoyle Version:1.8.1
Model:TP-Link TL-WR841N/ND v9
Device Configuration:Wireless Bridge/Repeater
Memory Usage:12.8MB / 28.2MB (45.4%)

root@TL-WR841N:~# df
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
rootfs 320 240 80 75% /
/dev/root 2560 2560 0 100% /rom
tmpfs 14476 60 14416 0% /tmp
/dev/mtdblock3 320 240 80 75% /overlay
overlayfs:/overlay 320 240 80 75% /
tmpfs 512 0 512 0% /dev

There are some nice features that could use up resources. Perhaps not using them will prolong operation (e.g. save high resolution data for bandwidth, web usage, no plugins except defaults).

I think found a small bug in 1.8.1 and 1.9.0

TL-WDR4300 flash without preserving settings.

Right after setting password and timezone I change WLAN settings:
Wireless Mode: Access Point (AP)
Operation Mode: N+A
Save

It is now working only in 5 GHz as expected and only the 5 GHz LED is on.
But the page does not reflect the settings.
It shows 'Dual Band' and 2.4GHz SSID + 5GHz SSID

If I then change some other settings and save the page again I get 2.4GHz without asking for it.
Can confirm.

Have the exact same issue. I can confirm the issue on 1.8.1 and 1.9.0. After putting back 1.8.0 band selection works fine.

I'm rewriting a lot of the code for that page and as a result this bug should be fixed.
Won't be finished until Friday.

Hello!
I tried to install 1.8.1 on my router 941ND v3. Wireless Bridge running. I can go on this router. Devices connected to the router via a network cable. The device receives a static ip address from the main router 1043ND v1. But after a few shutdowns disable these devices, they will not get ip address.
As I wrote previously in version 1.9.0 there is a wireless connection between a router. I wrote about this earlier.
In version 1.8.0 it works well.
Sorry for my English.
Thank you!

Currently wifi AC is not configurable in the GUI. It will be available in the next version.

For now you have to set it manually at the command line.

Set hwmode to 11a and htmode to VHT80. You can then use channels 36 and 149 depending on the country you are in.
