Have three TP-Link WR-1043ND routers, hardware v1.7, with Gargoyle 1.3.16.

Wireless STABLE AS..!

However I noticed when setting them up that the Operation Mode setting (N+G+B, B+G, etc.) would not "take" (ie. save successfully without reverting to the previous value) when the Device Configuration was "Wireless Bridge/Repeater".

I could work around the problem this way: Set the Device Configuration to "Gateway (Default)", change and save the Operation Mode setting, then set the Device Configuration to "Wireless Bridge/Repeater".

There was at least one other setting in the same group that had a similar problem. I think "Wireless Channel" but I would have to check.

p.s. I tried this in firefox 3.6.18 and IE 9.

Feature requests OK to put here?

voortdoorn,

Eric is trying to get rid all bugs and to release a stable version. Would you mind to post your suggestions in the Development forum?

My Airlink AR430W while no longer rebooting as it was with the 1.3.11 release, seems to take a long time to startup or reboot. The major issue I've been experiencing since after 1.3.9 is that my router loses it's settings.

Sometimes after just an power cycle, sometimes after applying changes. The wait window stays up for an inordinately long time then the router comes back with the default password and all settings lost. Prior to 1.3.16 it would just not come back at all, requiring me to power cycle it.

Just to make sure it's not a hardware issue, I'm going to go back to 1.3.9 and see if the problems go away. Anyone else with an AR430W experiencing similar issues?

Downgraded to 1.3.9 and everything is stable. Settings hold, no more spontaneous reboots. Router is still slow, but not as slow as it became with 1.3.11.

Anything I can contribute to help diagnose this issue?

What's your memory usage look like on the AR430W?

I have one of those and am pretty sure its 4MB flash 16 MB ram

As each Gargoyle build gets improved and features added,
more Ram is required and 16MB ram devices are struggling!

You really need a 32MB ram router to take full advantage of Gargoyle.

It does have 16MB of RAM and 4MB of flash. If 32MB is the new requirement, about a 1/3 of the routers on the supported routers list would have to be removed. I flashed 1.3.16 back on to compare and they both use about 12 of 13MB available. Memory usage stays at about 91 to 93 % for both versions.

1.3.16 just takes quite a bit longer to come back after saving changes that 1.3.9 did, but unlike 1.3.10-15, it does come back which is encouraging, but it still reverts back to default settings inexplicably. 1.3.9 has been running very stable for a few days now.

WRT54GL with 16 MB of ram works fine with latest version. But I believe using the web interface to do a firmware update is still broken/runs out of memory...

Hi,
I see there's a problem with graphs displaying while being logged remotely. The graphs are properly displayed when logged locally. Browser: FF v5.0.1.
