If it goes bad you would need a serial device to recover it.
Your deep in the rabbit hole now

You have Gargoyle Pocket Router (v2) (Alfa Hornet-UB x2)

https://openwrt.org/toh/alfa_network/hornet-ub

In summary you need to purchase a serial dongle

https://www.ebay.com/itm/FTDI-chip-usb- ... 3812961998

Then open up your router and plug it in
I have a bit of free time again, whew!

Do I need a wire end? I can buy something similar to what you posted, just making sure :)

Buy one with plugs on the end (maybe)

Open your router up and have a look first

Hopefully it has headers other wise you need to solder

make sure the device has 64bit windows 10 drivers. The cheap serial devices only have 32bit XP drivers

So I really do not know if you can recover, it is really for experienced users - but maybe I underestimate you, according to OpenWrt can handle it, that would be a better case. @Eric is still trying to see if Gargoyle 1.11.0 will work on v2, but it probably won't, so you have to settle for Gargoyle 1.10.0 so far.

P.S. The recovery process for Hornet-UB x2 (Gargoyle Router v2) is here: https://forum.archive.openwrt.org/viewt ... =1#p250080
