Scanning sometime is not working. Some devices (like ZTE MF668 from Polish operators) has USB1 - diagnostic and USB2 - communication port. Scan detects USB1, but USB2 should be used.
I can't find universal method for ALL devices, alternative is detection based on vendor.

I don't see why we can build a vendor database

What we really need is an "information Display"

e.g.

Modem Connected

Modem disconnected

Failed to connect with modem

etc
