First, I use English grammar for my first to say "sorry" because I used google to translate it!
I have a TPL-1043nd x 1, TPL-741nd x 2, used prior to 1.3.16 can connect more than 130Mbps
But after I upgraded to 1.4.0, but found that I can only connect to the maximum 65Mbps
Today I did an experiment is as follows! 1043nd and NB (802.11n card)
1043nd using 1.3.16 version of the NB can be connected to a 150Mbps
1043nd using 1.4.0 version of the NB connection to 65Mbps only
1043nd use 1.4.0 version and then upgrade back to version 1.3.16 , NB connection to 65Mbps only
So it seems 1.4.0 updated 802.11n driver will lead only to 65Mbps
1.3.16 version and want to return is invalid, can only return tplink updated version, then upgrade to 1.3.16 version will be effective!

Now I can successfully use the 1.4.0 version, a 150Mbps connection!
I found that if the Transmit Power default does not work! Will only 65Mbps.
I use the 27 dBm does not work, as is 65Mbps. I modified to <15 dBm when you can connect to 150Mbps and can send and receive stable!
Currently I use three of the set value is 5, 7, 12 dBm . You can use fping packet is not lost!
fping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -t 0 -c -s 30720
1.3.16 version may upgrade to version 1.4.0 with changes to the side, causing misunderstanding!

This probably got missed.
Any time there's a major revision, it is better to re-configure
from scratch instead of reloading an old config - this is from my own
testing and flashing experience, but really depends on configs.
The more complex your config is - the more chance of issues.
If you're upgrading from say 1.3.5 -> 1.4.0 - may not be a good idea.
If you're upgrading from 1.3.16 -> 1.4.0 - should be OK.
There's always a chance for a config to go bad so you should have
some means to recover your router via TFTP or Serial console.

I have upgraded a TEW-652BRP with 615-C1 firmware from 1.3.16 to 1.4.0. It is working great so far. I used WiFi AP with a Broadcom Wireless N client and an Android Phone. The WiFi seems to work very reliable. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip - I'm using a TP1043ND and can only connect at 150mbps if I set TX Power to 5dBm
