No external USB.

Adblock is off.

Currently have WiFi but no net access.

I have ensured adblock is off. I searched the log and there is no sign of it, that last one must have been before I disabled it.

I have a spare large usb, should I plug that in to see if that helps?

ive never set up an external root so i can't advise there.

no you can assign much more than 12. if the list is unselectable it usually means that no devices are detected on the network that aren't already assigned (as far as i know).

So what problems have we ruled out and what is left? Wifi still doesn't have internet. Latest log seems to show a lot of deauthentication?

After bolding a couple and looking at the time I thought the mac addresses may be the wifi scheduled addresses but they aren't.

EDIT: A couple of wifi devices are working fine.

Just a thought, what if it is a hardware issue?

I have my wdr3600 over clocked to 680 on the cpu 450 mHZ on the ram and 240 on the AHB. When I was reading up about over clocking I found out about some wdr3600's that have crap ram chips in them. You can read about it here:

Another issue is that some AR9344 routers come with low grade RAM as a result when you perform memtester, a utility that read & write bit patterns to RAM, to detect RAM errors it will fail. The default RAM clock is 450MHZ but it seems to be too high for certain brands of RAM.

A solution to this is to decrease the RAM frequency of 400MHZ.

You can test your ram by running this file:

Give memtester_4.1.3 a go and see if you get errors. If you do then the way to fix it is to down clock the ram by flashing the uboot, but it's dangerous. If you dont no how to run memtester let me no and i will tell you how to do it. I don't want to teach my granny how to suck eggs!

See what your ram is running at by doing (dmesg grep)

Memtest didn't work for me the first couple of times but I have noticed the thread that was previously above this mention the thread about wireless deauthentication issues. I do have a guest network so I will get rid of that and see how we go for now.
