Try hitting Ctrl+F5 to flush the cache and reload that page. I saw zero ads on it when I went there.

I see a black box where the ad should be. As you said though, where Adblock plus is better is that it would also hide the black box.

I tried it out and it seemed ok to me.
i think its definitely a browser cache issue, but if someone else can comment on whether the following page hides ads correctly with "Attempt to hide ads" option enabled?

Great work Lantis! Woot!

I think there was some restructuring of the urls on the gargoyle site. Anyways, I saw that the link on the license information deadends (I think). Current:

http://gargoyle-router.com/faq.html#qfoss

I believe you can use:

https://www.gargoyle-router.com/about.php#license

Probably not a big deal, lol.

Again, amazing work!

First, wanted to say thank you. Second, I have been using the Adblock script that you based this off of for a while know and have always wondered why this wasnt added to packages with a frontend, never understood that. Thanks for doing this.

Do I have to uninstall the other script to use this or can i just add this and it will take over and use what I already have?

Also, please add to your first post: Open browser in incognito or private window to confirm it works, else you wont see a diff for a long time on firefox or chrome.

Another note, stop using adblock or adblock plus plugins, use instead ublock or ublock origin, they use 1/10th the memory and cpu and feature wise, ublock origin is same as adblock but with memory and cpu saving bonus.

I recommend removing the old script first just in case. Otherwise you might end up doubling up on firewall rules and hosts files. There are also some location differences to better suit how gargoyle runs its other scripts.

Thanks for your feedback :) I'll edit the first post after work.

I suspect this issue has more to do with the plugin system than one particular plugin. On a number of occasions I have tried to install one plugin or another (when there was sufficient memory available) and the installation failed without explanation or log. At one stage I suspected that memory was not freed properly when a plugin was un-installed. At another time I suspected that there was a problem when a config backup (containing plugin settings) was restored before installing the plugin itself. I cannot install TOR on 1.7.x but I believe that this is a dependency issue, hopefully resolved in 1.7.2. I suspect that there is something a little weird going on with the plugin system, but I have not been able to pin it down :-(
