Did you try turning off the modem for a few minutes and turn back on the modem leave it on for 5min then turn on the archer c7?

Hi all c7's should be flashed to the latest build found here:
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=8289
With this build you will get proper ac with out using the command line. I have it installed on 2 c7s all is good.

I think so.. Maybe I could try leaving the modem off and then on for longer... But maybe gargoyle 1.9 would be better..

The job is an important one (getting family online), so I need a solid install.

The C7 is working fine at mine... Maybe the issue was with the sat modem..
I'm trying a wdr3600 with the sat modem next

Thanks for reply... Hi I'm James :)

Its not gargoyle it is the modem not giving out a new ip try turning off the modem for a long time if it is a cable modem unscrew the cable coming from the ISP for about 10 sec as the IP will be lost and a new IP will be requested

I got a new IP at various points, but used the static IP connection option, and just put in the values... I can retry using the dhcp connection option, but since I was there all day, I moved on to keeping the C7 for me, and trying a different box (wdr3600) on it

I'll try 1.9.1 on the 3600, and try the dhcp connect.. It's a sat modem with a thick cable...

Update:

Archer C7 (Gargoyle 1.8.1) is working perfectly behind a Draytek DSL modem.
TP-Link WRD3600 (Gargoyle 1.8.1) is working perfectly behind a Tooway SatModem..

:)

Thanks for the help..

Hi your sat modem should work in this build.
v ... =14&t=8247

You can flash the wdr3600 with Gargoyle too, from the same link.
