I looked at the video you sent.

Looks like the controller is basically functioning for you. So you should change your download speed back up to 1280kbos which is the maximum download rate your test indicated you have No sense in wasting perfectly good download capability.

Yes with 200kbps you can support up to 5 calls. But I notice that with only 200kbps of upload bandwidth available (according to your test) your internet access other than voice would pretty much shutdown if that were to actually happen. I think I would back this down to 160kbps so that other things at least functions but only 4 calls can happen before things start getting garbled voice wise.

If you really want to get to 5 calls you might try to enable silence suppression along with g729. Then you probably can get 5 or more calls in as little as 160kbps.

Finally please tell me which version of WRT54GS you were using and had trouble with. According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linksys_WRT54G_series the different versions have different memory and several not enough for Gargoyle.

I have already done this now.

Thanks for the explanation I have now set it to 160kbps, will leave silence suppression off as I have had too many issues with it.

The Unit I have is a WRT54GS Version 1.1 attached is a image of the info from your link to correspond with my router.

>>>>>>>>> UPDATE <<<<<<<<<<

Here is what I tried with my WRT54GS v1.1

1. Restored Default Configuration with Gargoyle Firnmware 1.3.5

2. Reflashed the stock standard Linksys firmware WRT54GSv3_4.71.4.001_fw.bin

3. Did a factory reset with the Linksys firmware

4. Used Google Chrome to login to the router

5. Installed Gargoyle 1.3.5 Firmware

6. Did a Restore Default Configuration with Gargoyle Firnmware 1.3.5

7. Put in all my configurations as below **

8. I was now able to add QoS (Upload) & (Download) -- Classification Rules for Source Port: 10000-10500 & Destination Port: 10000-10500 Which I was not able to do before as once saved it did not update the rule

9. I was now able to tick the box under QoS (Download) -- Classification Rules >>> QoS (Download) -- Active Congestion Control Click on the "Save" button, Rebooted and powered down the router more that a dozen time and the box stayed TICKED This I was not able to do before as once saved it and did a reboot or power down this box would be unticked when I logged in

I have configured QoS Upload as follows
QoS (Upload) -- Service Class

Default Service Class = Fast
Total (Upload) Bandwidth: 160 kbit/s

Service Class Name = VOIP
Percentage Bandwidth at Capacity = 1%
Minimum Bandwidth = 80 kbit/s
Maximum Bandwidth = Unlimited

Service Class Name = Fast
Percentage Bandwidth at Capacity = 99%
Minimum Bandwidth = zero
Maximum Bandwidth = Unlimited

Add New Classification Rule:

Match Criteria
Source IP: 192.168.1.10/255.255.255.0
Source Port: 5060-5061
Transport Protocol: UDP

I have posted the above for the completion of this thread so it may assist someone else in the future

Thankyou once again pbix for all your assistance, it is greatly appriciated, I now have what I would say the best software I have installed and tested to date.

Thankyou Eric this is worth a donation for your good work which I will do shortly.
