why not is implemented a option to disable the Gargoyle bandwidth monitor in the options of gargoyle? that will be useful for the ones who want more bandwich speed and no cares watching it :o

One might argue that is one of the key features of gargoyle...
It provides functionality and customizability above and beyond what the default software provides including sophisticated quality of service and bandwidth monitoring tools.

Well, if that key feature causes such drastical performance drops, its usefullness becomes questionnable.
There are other reasons to use Gargoyle, e.g. the GUI and its ease of use... at least for me.
