The gargoyle package, alone only contains the web "front end," so re-installing this won't be enough. You have to go through and install everything, which is a fairly long list of packages (it gets done automatically, so it's not trivial for me to obtain it and list it here).
Sometime in the next week or two I'll look into modifying the build script to automatically set package versions (along with the overall firmware version), which it does now, so this will get updated automatically.
Ideally, I should be bumping revision numbers on each package whenever I modify anything in them, but remembering to always do this maintenance is a pain and takes extra time/effort which I don't really have to spare. So, automatically setting the custom package versions to whatever the latest gargoyle version is at build time should be a reasonable substitute, and solve your issue.
Sorry for your problems, and that this won't get addressed sooner, but that's the best I can do given my current schedule. I'm in the middle of a major upgrade of the quotas, and I want to get this done before I move on to the next issue.
