Well I got my power supply from eBay for a very good price including shipping. It arrived yesterday and i will attempt to set up the software tonight and Sunday.
I'm just about to start reading all the info again. Is there anything I should particularly look out for when flashing the Router?
Regards Neil

Hey ispyisail,
I am having some trouble with my router, I went to the open wrt website to get the latest version of wrt installed following their instructions on this page:
http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/ubiquiti/ro ... n.pro#jtag
Downloaded
http://downloads.openwrt.org/backfire/1 ... actory.bin,
Then restarted the router by holding the reset button as I started it up.
Once it had started up and opened a terminal and navigated to the location of the bin file and ran "tftp 192.168.1.20", "mode binary" then "put openwrt..." and got a message saying 3mb had been successfully transfered.
I then went to make dinner to give the router time to install the file and when I returned was unable to telnet or ping the router. This was some hours later. I tried both 192.168.1.20 and 192.168.1.1
If I restart the router in failsafe mode (hold reset button while powering up) I am able to ping the router again but now not even tftp is working.
(The router still uses 192.168.1.20)
Do you have any idea what happened to make the router unresponsive and what I might be able to do to access the router to install openwrt correctly.

Ubnt have there own firmware boot installer (reset button for 20sec)
after that sequence has finished then openwrt failsafe mode kicks in.
if failsafe is not activated then the OS should boot

Sorry to jump in, I was also thinking about getting a routerstation Pro from GoWifi because I had a look at PBtech in Glenfield and they only have the v1.9 WR1043ND now and from the list of supported routers it will not work.
Can the routerstation pro be flashed from the web interface or must it be done from tftp?

The first time? I thought because it was already running Kamikaze you did not need to update wrt?
