most likely you have PPPoA and dynamic IP address

I've got Gargoyle openVPN working well but because its still new I would suggest setting up a test network first

"router to router" is easier than "router to PC"

have you got two routers and one PC to set-up a test network? or are we going to try your work set-up straight off?

setup Dynamic DNS Services
http://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/dok ... s_services

download openVPN client
http://openvpn.net/index.php/open-source/downloads.html

configure your openvpn server

copy the config file to your client

make sure the correct ports are open

click connect

easy

FYI I can get the windows openVPN GUI working at this stage

I would suggest you should only try "router to router"
