Im assuming you have set your gargoyle router to 192.168.10.1 then pluged your PC into the LAN port? But you PC has a fixed IP address of ? 192.168.1.x ?

So yes I am clear on this aspect of subnets, though if we ever got the connection working through the router my next query would how my pc could access both subnets which I would guess is down to the netmask.
Out of interest do you use a bridged connection to achieve your connection or a modem, if you use a modem are you able to see your modem page - a bridged connection is a totally different beast as you effectively have two routers - unlike in this case

One word - QOS
WHole network has every item on the network allocated to QOS
With gragoyle you can still use the DHCP server to assign Fixed IP address to each machine. This is a much better way of do this because you get the best of both worlds

Yes all my machines are assigned static addresses through Gargoyle.

I use tripple NAT

Internet -- DSL router (192.168.10.1) -- Firewall (192.168.0.1 -- Gargoyle (192.168.5.1) -- PC
From my PC I can access my DSL router on 192.168.10.1 with the above setup
HOWEVER if I connect directly to my DSL router I can not access gargoyle on 192.168.5.1

OK i'm starting top wonder if it's possible to see the modem from the pc (even if the pc is on the same subnet as the modem) without adding some routing into the routing page on Gargoyle.

the PC should still be on the routers subnet.
What are your active routes on the routing setup page of your gargoyle router?

62.3.82.19 pppoe-wan (WAN) * 0
192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 br-lan (LAN) * 0
default pppoe-wan (WAN) losubs.subs.dsl 0

Try to enter (not that it should be needed):
Destination/Mask: 192.168.10.0/255.255.255.0
Network: WAN
Gateway: 192.168.10.1
The modem could automatically try to sent the request to its gateway. This way it should be working, like when you connect your computer directly to it.

OK set up
192.168.10.0/255.255.255.0 wan 192.168.10.1
Tried to connect to 192.168.10.1 no good
then changed my ip to 192.168.10.2 still no good
