It's gateway, looks like the issue is the restore of the configuration. I reloaded firmware, checked and all menu's were correct and present. Then restored configuration and the menu items went.
Looks like I need to reset and then reinput the settings
This happens when upgrading occasionally
It's not always repeatable, but if this ever occurs, usually you just
need to reset to defaults and re-configure from scratch.
Yep - not a huge issue now I have the fix, though 20+ip and 4 QOS rules

That said next time i'm going to have a gander at hnl's hack - any chance that can make it to release?

tals wrote:I reset the firmware to default config, still same issue. Reloaded the firmware all menus restored back correctly. I then restored the config which caused the menus to go again. Restored and am reinputting the results in again.
I'm guessing the config is corrupting it - not huge issue, strange though

as doesitmatter wrote... try to install 1.5.2, restore the config and save the config... install 1.5.3, restore the config and see if it is working for you.

but you should still be able to try to upgrade to 1.5.2 and afterwards upgrade to 1.5.3.
It could be possible, that it would work.

Understood, but I'm now 80% back to where I was and not really up for going through the process again - worse case I might even reloose all I have entered
