GUI Speed

The GUI is real fast except a couple of tabs.

Connection
Basic

For what ever reason these two tabs take ages to load? seconds instead of milliseconds like the other tabs?

I'm thinking about getting this card

https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Compex-WLE ... :rk:7:pf:0

or

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Compex-WLE900V ... :rk:4:pf:0

Looks like they are ath10k?

Is this a good or bad move?

I'm not 100% sure sorry. But with any luck, they would be covered by ath10k-firmware-qca988x!

Never tried but is it as easy as just adding "ath10k-firmware-qca988x" in make custom or is it more involved than that?

Yes, although sometimes you need to add ath10k itself first, then you can add the individual firmware.
