The last number of the MAC address for the router was off by 1 digit in Gargoyle. I have no idea how or why it happened but following ispyisail's suggestion, I checked the MAC address on the router sticker and that was when I noticed the incorrect last digit of the MAC address in Gargoyle. So I checked the box by "Use Custom MAC Address" and entered the correct MAC address and it works fine now.
To be more specific about the problem, the last digit of the MAC address listed in the WAN section of Gargoyles Overview page was 1 digit too high and the last digit in the LAN section's MAC address was 1 digit too low (or vice versa, I can't remember but they were both off by 1 digit).
