I’ll double check this.
Can you confirm that a different client (say a mobile device) can connect?

can confirm that "single file" windows client works perfect.

Client prefers vpn_gateway: = unticked

I’ve just replicated your setup and had no problem. It connected within 10 seconds and I could access the internet as well as route back and forth between subnets

Did you fully regenerate settings + certificates?
Is there a port block or firewall stopping port 1194?
Is the WAN IP (connect address) correct?

These are basically the only things that could stop it
