Newest Hardware for Gargoyle

Post by Swimmer »

Hello all,

I'm a happy camper with Gargoyle on my Linksys 1900ACS router.
I would like to buy a new router for a family member that is capable of running Gargoyle without issues with services like VPN, routing and AP.

What are the newest devices around? Of course I would like it cheap but if the hardware is good, I can spend some extra.

stick with Linksys 1900ACS

Gargoyle will need a version upgrade for newer routers

Thank you for the tip.

I'm having issues finding one Linksys that does not cost a kidney.

Any current suggestions at a more affordable price?

I need to check on that, thanks.

It's a bit frightening to be honest.

I was hopefully expecting a TP-Link or similar suggestion that could deal with Gargoyle for all the normal stuff (mainly wifi) and possible some VPN and DDNS

Make sure you get one with a cover and power supply only cost a little more

Safer than a TP-Link to flash.

Many recovery methods

I also wonder if the hardware might be more robust?

Got one with a power supply and an acrylic case.
But there are no wifi antennas and its only 2,4Ghz wifi.
