Favorite routers currently? (Nov 2022)

Post by maphew »

What are people's favorite routers for Gargoyle now (Nov 2022) and why?

Our TP Link Archer 7 v2 has done well for years but unreliability times are just getting more frequent and lasting longer. It's time to replace and I'm looking for recommendations. (Single family detached house, 2 floors @1300 sq ft ea. Router mounted center in closed stairwell. So at floor level for main floor and ceiling for basement. Approx. 25 wifi devices, with 8 at a time usually active.)

Thanks!

The C7 is still a good router for slower internet connections

I am also interested in what routers are favored. I also have an Archer C7 (with 2USB ports, so the older one) and I would like to look at a replacement router.
I would like to have 2xUSB ports and at least as good performance as Archer C7, but I am also on a limited budget.
What's the best bang for your buck in 2023?

Thanks!

Thanks for the link but that seems to be specific to NZ.
Interesting discussion either way.
