Based on the 19.07-rc1 Openwrt tag.

This is still considered experimental, and not well tested beyond the devices that I personally own.
Please provide any feedback or concerns if you do decide to use it.

Note: some ar71xx devices have been migrated to the ath79 target. If your device is one of these, you may need to force the sysupgrade at the command line. If you force the flash, please be careful you're using the correct image, and be familiar with failsafe procedures (and in extreme cases, serial recovery).

Do not preserve settings for any versions prior to 1.13. They are not compatible.
Hello,
@Lantis I installed your compilation on wrt1900acs v2 and wdr3600 re1.5 everything seems ok, both routers move well with this version.
What I like about the web interface is now moving quickly on the wdr3600!
I made the switch from OpenWrt, you can do sysupgrade without any problems from openwrt to gargoyle, both vice versa.
I would like if the gargoyle also had the option to change the partitions directly from the web interface for Linksys routers, of course and the ability for ipv6 :D :!:
Thanks

If someone interested.
Yesterday made a build enabling WPA3. Built went fine, after update was able to choose WPA2/WPA3 authentication. No problems reported today by anyone.

I also confirm Adblock does not work in this version.

The problem is a missing wget or ustream-client which also provides wget.
I've fixed it in the code but not this release.
I'll do a update soonish, but this weekend is out for me

Looks like WPA2/WPA3 authentication is not working fully correct. "Old" clients connecting without problems, but "new" are not able to connect... Moved back to WPA2 only for now.
Got problems on 2.4 and 5.

What type of clients? All working fine for me.
Are you using Apple clients?

This build might have predated the fix for Apple clients.
You can add

Code: Select all

option auth_cache '1'
to your wifi config to the wifi-iface section to fix it.
This is fixed in later versions.

One case really was with Apple. Another one was for Win PC , however there was still WinXP OS, so might be this was a case.

About fix for Apple. Was it included in RC1 already, since problem appeared on a build based on RC1?
I'm building fresh Gargoyle right now (based on RC2). Is this fix already there?

It should have been fixed in an rc1 build... but i can't remember if that is what this was based on.
Yes definitely fixed by rc2.

https://git.openwrt.org/?p=openwrt/open ... 66d4762ee9
You can check the code there to confirm on your router.
If it is still not working, might be a buggy client? Everything i've tested here (apple/android/1 intel wifi adapter) all connect ok
