I never did it. Sometimes it succeeds, but I do not recommend it. Only 1.11.X to 1.11.X or 1.11.0 to 1.11.0 (this should only work as a backup for an existing build)

Happy to report EdgeRouter-X works. Recovered the unit from a bad Ubiquiti flash via OpenWRT. Thanks for the 'how-to Quick Build.' I used the instructions and built the ER-X firmware.

Testing it out currently and no issues so far.
