The only problem I've had is the wireless power misreported by 5x on the 2.4ghz band, resulting in a maximum of 62mw, which is not quite enough. Also, high speed reception, low speed transmit, means that the router's wifi isn't as strong as the clients, which are phones. If a router could be embarrassed, this one is.

All other features work perfectly, but, I did happen to need 2.4ghz wifi range to cover more than half of my little bungalow house. It is worth a mention that the 2.4ghz is so poor that the 5ghz reaches twice as far.

It isn't the hardware because, the situation is exactly backwards with DD-WRT, in that the 2.4ghz wifi works brilliantly, but most other features have settings difficulties, especially with DD-WRT's summer 2018 updates.

So, with Gargoyle, I can get an excellent router, excellent 5ghz, and heavily constrained 2.4ghz. Or, with DD-WRT I can get an excellent 2.4ghz access point. Do I need 2 boxes?

Have you tried 1.10.x for a comparison?

1.10.x is at the end of the development cycle 1.11.x is a the start.

Archer C7v2, so I didn't load older versions.

I did try manually editing to 30dbm, usa reg max (achieving neither radio max nor regulatory max, but rather a tiny fraction of it). Divide by 5? Not quite a fifth. I didn't get 200mw, but more like 150mw. That's an improvement.

Finally fixed my problem, it is not Gargoyle, it is one of my TP_link powerline adapter which is causing the line drop, simply unplugging it and replug it fixed the problem.
