I'm trying to use my Fonera 2.0g (FON2202) in a non-standard way: a network music player. In order for this to work, I need the Fonera to act like a wireless client in my pre-existing wireless network, and I accomplished this using the Client-Bridged mode (with repeater off) of Gargoyle; I know that this is more than I need, but at this time it's the only working setup I could find (I had lots and lots of troubles with OpenWRT trying to configure it as a simple wireless client).
Now I need to install some addictionals kernel modules to use my USB sound card, but here I'm having troubles: in OpenWRT everything worked, but in Gargoyle when I try to install some modules (kmod-usb-audio and related dependencies) with opkg, the installation goes fine but inserting the modules I get some strange "Unknow symbol" errors, which could mean that the modules doesn't match the running kernel. Here is an example:
Code: Select all
usbcore: Unknown symbol kmem_cache_alloc_notrace
usbcore: Unknown symbol __tracepoint_kmalloc
usbcore: Unknown symbol slab_buffer_size
