Dear Friends
I own TL-WR1043ND V2 with firmware 1.6.2. I have used Wake on LAN. Everytime I use it for the first time my device is launched without problems, but next time there is wrong MAC for this device, I mean 00:00:00:00:00:00, so I cannot use WoL anymore for this device until I reboot my router.
How may I fix this issue?
I will be glad for any help and support.
Sincerely
WoL - Wake on LAN

Re: WOL - Wake-On-LAN
Where are you seeing the incorrect MAC address? Can you show pictures please?

Dear Lantis
Here you go: WoL TL-WR1043ND
First time MAC address is OK, when click wake my device is waking up, but when I would like to wake the same device few days later and I go to Configuration>Wake on LAN there is MAC 00:00:00:00:00:00 as you see in the picture and I cannot wake up this device until I reboot my router.

Re: WoL - Wake on LAN
Is the device you are trying to wake a static IP or no?
The 00 mac addresses are coming from the ARP table. This means that the router tried to find out who was at the particular IP address, and no one responded.
This is why i ask if a device may have moved?

Re: WoL - Wake on LAN
Dear Lantis
I have DHCP in TL-WR1043ND with IP reservation for all of my devices, so the same device will have the same IP assigned based on their MAC address. Also I have no such problem, when I use Fing on my Android device to wake this particular device. The problem is only when I use WoL via Gargoyle 1.6.2 from my router.

Re: WoL - Wake on LAN
1.6.2 is end of life
If there is a bug its not going to get fixed on that version
You need to test the current test version and if there is a bug it might get fixed.

Re: WoL - Wake on LAN
Dear ispyisail
I am not using the newest version, because of bandwidth problem. In 1.6.2 I have got 250/20Mbps without any problems, but on the newer versions of Gargoyle it's a lot less 160-180/20Mbps.
I have noticed one more thing, I mean when I will launch via WoL from my router and my device will start and then I will power off it and again power on and go to my router again, there is MAC for this device refreshed. And again when I will wake this device and then power off I cannot wake it up, because of 00:00:00:00:00:00. It's really strange.
Sincerely

Hi
i had that bug also , but on some greater release it was fixed, I know that Eric did some fixes (few changesets - trz go through historical changes)
Try go through - here zou may found workaround how to add MAC address to specific ip in webshell from web gui: http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... 7&start=30
