The RTL8197D SoC doesnt have a ddwrt or open wrt build, even in alpha. Why would you buy this if you want a 100% gargoyle 1.6.2 compatible router? its also 8MB Flash and 64MB ram which is way less than the buffalo.

I couldn't find the specs so I didn't know what the chipset was. It's difficult to find anything like the buffalo. Maybe I'll find another buffalo and heatsink it.

I dont know if you can get it, but JB weld or electrical potting poured over the whole board would turn it into a giant heatsink with no hot spots. Ive done this with many boards.

PS, the wzr has screw heads that are tamper proof. You will need to either drill them out our get a tamper set. Or get really good with a tiny flat head at an angle :)
