Can Gargoyle be built with a newer kernel?

Post by tapper »

was just looking at what kernel i have on my 1043nd and it's 3.3.8 just wanted to no if the kernel can be bumped to 3.5 because of "bufferbloat".

fq_codel was backported to 3.3.8 for openwrt AA, which is the key to addressing bufferbloat. No idea how to enable it on gargoyle, but theoretically it's supported in the kernel. So merely getting 3.5+ installed isn't going to do much for you.

However, Gargoyles ACC already control bufferbloat on your WAN link so expect no improvement there.
