Boot script

Post by davidgeoffreyh »

Hi there

I've tried searching but couldn't find an answer on the board... apologies if it has been answered before!

I'd like to add a line to Gargoyle's boot script which starts the transmission-daemon. I can't seem to find where to put this line of code, though?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

/etc/rc.local can be used for commands to run at boot

Great - thank you.

But how do I go about editing that file? I'm trying via SSH but getting the "no space left on device" error. Which I assume is because that file is read only..?

Actually I take that back. I restarted the router and was able to write out to /etc/rc.local.

Cheers

The easiest way I have found to edit the router files on a windows machine is to download WinSCP - it allows you to edit in a windows GUI .
