A good router for Gargoyle

Hi,
my Asus WL-500-gP is unable to provide downloads at 30Mb/s so I'm looking for a new router.

I was thinking about TP-Link TL-WR1043ND but I was daunted by Warnings/Gotchas and reported problems regarding recent firmware as stated on OpenWrt Wiki. On it's site there’s a link to Buffalo WZR-HP-AG300H but I'm not sure if it's worth the money.

I’m looking for a 1Gb/s LAN ports router with 100% working USB port on Gargoyle and that will support downloads/uploads high as 120 Mb/s (just for future). What router would you recommend as a hassle free and future-proof for Gargoyle?

I'll kindly respond to your question, however you won't really get an answer 'cause I'm wondering the same thing. Which router?

If you read the release notes for Gargoyle 1.5.6 you'll notice that one router with only 8MB of flash couldn't have the Tor feature 'cause of lack of flash space. (though other 8MB routers were ok???). So I'd suggest a router with 16MB of flash if possible, and 64MB of RAM.

For my next router I was thinking to get the TP-LINK WDR4300 however it only has 8MB of flash. I wonder if you could use a USB drive for more space/features? Good thing about it is it does have 128MB of RAM, fast cpu, good wifi radios, and it's damn CHEAP.

So perhaps the best options are the WNDR3700v2 with 16MB flash and 64MB RAM or the WNDR3800 with 16MB flash and 128MB RAM.

I have both the WNDR3700v2 and Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH.

These are both excellent for Gargoyle. Fast and plenty of memory so I can recommend either from personal experience.
