Russian PPPoE (Dual Access)

Post by petruha »

Good afternoon. Please implement this type of connectivity as Russia pppoe or dual access. This is when the wan port have 2 asssigned address by pppoe and local(maybe static and DHCP).
I have TP-LINK 1043, on stock firmware connection Russia PPPoE working very well, but the rest leaves much to be desired :-)

Thanks in advance.

Вы далекооо не первый , кто об этом просит :(
Не хотят этого делать буржуи . Хотя в той же wive-ng это реализовано прекрасно.

I am afraid I cannot understand the technical details of this request. Please post more details about why Russian PPPoE is different than everyone elses PPPoE? Gargoyle already receives a DHCP assigned IP address on its WAN port if your PPPoE modem is configured to supply such addresses in addition to the PPPoE assigned address.

And counter what was stated by werter below I am not aware of any previous request for such a feature.

Thank you very much for your feedback. I'll try to explain their connection.
ADSL modem in bridge mode, set up two PVC compounds - one for the Internet, the second for IP TV.
Connected to the router port WAN, which rises PPPOE connection to the Internet.
1) To set up IP-TV in the config file to specify IGMPPROXY upstate interface - what should I specify?
2) How to get to the ADSL modem - how?
Thank you for your attention.
Sorry for bad english :-)

Here as implemented in Wive-ng firmare :

1. First WAN connection is STATIC or DHCP
2. Second is VPN connection - PPTP, L2TP or PPPOE

Can you make like this in Gargoyle ?

Yes, but there is only the possibility for DHCP and PPPoE (it is one setting "PPPoE client" that is the same as choosing PPPoE and DHCP).

You should be able to use L2TP with this package:
http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/connect_by_l2tp
Router: TL-WR1043ND - Gargoyle 1.5.4
AP: TL-WR1043ND - Gargoyle 1.5.4

Hmm..May be you don't understand me?
I would like to be able to establish two connections simultaneously - first Static or DHCP and second - PPTP, L2TP or PPPOE ;)

If it is possible to Wive-ng (Linux) and DD-WRT (Linux) why is not possible to Gargoyle (Linux) like on my screenshots?

On the picture, it just looks like there is only one WAN connection, with PPPoE and a static IP address.
So you are in fact having having two WAN ports?
If so, can we give that a try.

Gargoyle cannot perform this function and there is no plan to add this type of feature.

Perhaps you can do this with OpenWRT with some effort if you are familiar with Linux networking. For more help on that you should post at openwrt.org.
