Hello. New here. Just purchased the above router. Which version of Gargoyle am I able to put with the router? I couldn't find any info about it.
Thanks for your time

Support for that router was only added to LEDE 2 days ago.
Gargoyle won't catch up until they do a stable release.
No ETA at this stage.

Is there any update on support for Archer C9? I just bought and connected a TP-Link AC2600 Dual Band Wi-Fi Range Extender and now devices connect directly to the Archer C9 are experiencing much slower speeds, including and especially those connected through an ethernet cable (while the devices connected to the extender are experiencing great speeds). I am hoping that Gargoyle's RMU can help with this.

Still the same, but with the merge of Openwrt and lede nearing completion we are moving forward

As of January 2018 LEDE and OpenWRT are merged, and there is a stable release of OpenWRT 18.06. Any idea about when the C9 will be supported in Gargoyle now?

Gargoyle 1.11.0 (currently in development) is based on 18.06.
While it doesn’t officially support that device, you could make a custom build for it now if you want to.

Things of note:
- bcm53xx is not a currently built target for Gargoyle so a full custom build is needed
- Broadcom devices typically do not have wifi support making them utterly useless. This device included.

Lantis... regarding your statement "- Broadcom devices typically do not have wifi support making them utterly useless. This device included."

Some of us do not use the inherent WiFi of the router, rather use Gargoyle to drive a mesh network, for instance, using Open-Mesh access points (which will soon end... new owner no longer sympathetic to the "Open" concept).

I am thankful for the quota, QoS, and VPN features of Gargoyle. :D

Good point.
Unfortunately, people often install the firmware without reading any of the warnings or background information, and are then disappointed (and often angry!) that wifi doesn’t work.

Gargoyle does include instructions for compiling your own firmware, and I’m happy to assist anyone who wants to learn to do this.
