Netgera WNDR 4300 - what to install

Post by unky »

Hello
I have bought Netgear WNDR4300. Looking at download I found gargoyle_1.9.0-ar71xx-nand-wndr4300-ubi-factory.img
Is this correct for my router?
Most of firmwares are *generic* byt WNDR4300 is *nand*
What is a difference? Should I install Gargoyle from WebPanel of router or shoud i do it using tftp?
thanks for help

Either install method is fine.

NAND just describes the type of flash storage your router uses. Nothing to worry about, just a name.

Do you know if I can use that firmware on a WNDR4300-100PRS (China version)?
Thanks.
