Not WR741
OK WR841
Better WR1043ND
I use WDR3600

Can you help someone else get Gargoyle up and running?
TL-WDR3600 : Gargoyle 1.9.0 : NBN FixedWireless
TL-WR1043ND-V2 : Gargoyle 1.8.0 : 3G Huawei E160E

I wouldn't recommend any of those. According to OpenWRT Wiki, they only have 4MB flash. Gargoyle is already missing features as of 1.9 for 4MB flash routers.

tp-link wr841nd and tp-link wr841n are identical - the d just means it has detachable antennas.
QoS Tip: Don't complicate your QoS settings. Gargoyle evenly splits available bandwidth between active devices as needed. Just delete all your classification rules and leave only one normal service class and you're done. No more arguing over bandwidth.

Thanks @Volaris, quite right. The Gargoyle doco has (had) a line for the WR841N v1.5 claiming 8MB ram, but I cannot find it in the OpenWRT doco so I have deleted the ref in the Gargoyle doco
