Adding a Plugin Source

I need help since I can not find it in the forums. I would like to install the latest plugin from dpint- plugin-gargoyle-email-notifications_1.0-1_all.ipk 21-Jun-2015 14:09 13179 but am unable to do so.

In Settings/plugins I added the URL "Add URL: https://dpint.si/storage/gargoyle/plugi ... fications/"

Tried to add "Add Name:plugin-gargoyle-email-notifications_1.0-1_all.ipk". Text is red with error "Invalid Character(s) In source name".

Could someone please point me in the right direction.
Thanks, Manfred

Hi mate you dont have to put the name of the plugin you can just call it email. It's just so you know what the feed is.

Thank you tapper, so name is just a local label. Added source, called it Email, rebooted router, it shows appended to the Plugin sources list, refreshed plugins but no plugins called Email.
URL used was https://dpint.si/storage/gargoyle/plugi ... ifications
Tried with and without final "/" same result so I'm still doing something wrong. Any help appreciated

I could not get default email to work (last 3 posts in "Email notifications plugin revisited" so dpint indicated I had a development version and had asked me to install the one from his website.

Fairly certain you've done everything right. Dpint needs to add a package list (Packages and Packages.gz) or it doesn't know how to interpret the plugin as far as I know.

Alternatively you can wget the file into your router and then do a manual install.

Thanks guys, the help is much appreciated. Dpint gave me instructions to install via WinSCP and although it appeared to install, nothing will save and the test email button doesn't respond. This is similar to the 4MB flash issue I had before so I'm wondering if the current router with 8MB is still not large enough to install anything above and beyond the basic gargoyle. Now that I know how to install manually I will start from scratch next week and see if the results are any different. It's thanksgiving weekend here in Canada so I wish you all a good holiday
