Post by coits »

Hi All,

Does anybody knows if WNDR4300v2 will be supported later release on BB or should I wait for CC?

Thanks

I'm finding zero references to it under the CC branch, and zero references to it in trunk.
Do you have a source that says its supported?

I just bought it today and found out that it's v2, so I check and it's not supported with BB and CC.

But the question now rise is, should I keep it or return it?
That's a hard question to answer.

But hopefully sooner, it will be supported. the only major difference is the processor speed.

openwrt only supports v1, but ddwrt supports v1 and v2.

hardware info:
v1 (Atheros AR9344 560 MHz, ram 128, 128flash)
v2 (Qualcomm Atheros QCA9563 750 MHz, ram 128, 128 flash)

Hi ispyisail,

I looked at the specs and it got only 8MB flash, does this flash enough for future release of gargoyle firmware, please advise?

Thanks,

http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wdr7500

Archer C7 v2.0
QCA9880-BR4A (v2). v2.0 printed on serial label on packaging. TP-Link support say "V2 has improved chipset which is DFS certificated. The flash capacity is 16MB compared to 8MB of V1. V2 also fixed a few bugs on V1"
Nothing is future proof, just try and get best at the time

Hi ispyisail,

I am waiting for my Archer C7 v2.0 to be delivered, but just want to ask you, if you have any tips on how to update the firmware from the stock going to gargoyle firmware, avoiding a brick router.

Can I just update the firmware directly on the tp-link interface or using tftp, please advise.

Thanks

Use tp-link interface straight to Gargoyle, easy

make sure you use the "factory" image
