WR841nd v9.0

Post by ddoimo1992 »

Hello,

I tried to search in the forum for an answer about the WR841nd v9 compatibility, has anyone get success flashing the file gargoyle_1.7.1-ar71xx-generic-tl-wr841n-v9-squashfs-factory.bin on this model?

The WR841nd v9 have the Atheros QCA9533 and the file is for AR71xx, can i flash it anyway?

Thanks!!!

I have and I am having issues with changing settings after the initial installation is complete. After making changes to (example: change SSID name | change reboot times) the settings look like they have changed. But when refreshing the browser the settings revert back to what was originally entered.

If anyone has any suggestions how to fix this I would be very grateful. Also, I am having issues with the software becoming "undefined" with all settings after a backup/restore. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated too.

Just guessing - but to me this looks like the bare min Flash/RAM in the WR841 is struggling with Gargoyle v8.0. or you got a bad Flash. If it were mine I would checksum the Gargoyle image (or redownload) and reflash. If still no luck I would go back to gargoyle 1.6.2.
Can you help someone else get Gargoyle up and running?

I think that was probably the issue. I just reflashed the device and started fresh. I am not going to download anything extra onto the router. Just the basic settings and that's it.
