Oops. Didn't see that you had replied. I just tried a reboot of the router by going to System > Reboot and the charts are still not showing up.

Okay, figured out how to log through SSH and tried to restart the firewall there. The name of the script is indeed restart_firewall.sh. However, this is what happens when I run it:

I receive the following error when attempting to upgrade with oviano's firmware:

"Please choose a file to upgrade!"

I already did choose a file : gargoyle_1.8.1-ar71xx-generic-tl-wr1043nd-v3-squashfs-factory.bin

When I browse to tp-link's firmware file, I do not receive this error.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I've given the firmware to two others il Se if they have the same issue.

make the filename shorter like max 10 letters (remove all "_", "-" and other special characters) and put the firmware file in the root directory somewhere on "D:\". That will fix it. Had same issue at first, that the router didnt seem to recognize the FW file Ive selected.

I think the reason was either that the file path was too long for the router or it didnt like some special characters, but if you follow the steps above, it will work.

There is a DD-WRT image for V3, you can find it in the beta download section on the DD-WRT site. However, I dont think there is any other firmware out there that has such an easy Adblock solution implemented as Gargoyle does. This is imho the biggest advantage of Gargoyle over other firmwares. And the simplicity ofcourse- its not overloaded with a ton of options, which most users dont even need and rather get confused by all the millions of settings.

I am running the 1043 v3.0 gargoyle fw since this morning and so far no issue. I came from OpenWrt nightly and no issue.
Adblock and access restriction are the most important to me in gargoyle, for that I could not get the access restriction to work in openwrt for an ipad for my life.

meazz1: Are you using the firmware that Lantis provided? Are you able to see the bandwidth charts that I could not see?

If his response is yes, the first step for you is to re download the image and re flash just to check for corruption.

Okay, thanks meazz1. So, now, what do we have to do to track down the issue here?
