Router: TL-WR1043ND v1.8
Firmware: gargoyle_1.7.x-ar71xx-generic-tl-wr1043nd-v1-squashfs-factory.bin

runs good. With OEM firmware i often had WIFI disconnects. Now it runs without issues.

TP-Link 1043ND V1.7

LOL I bought this router in 2011/12 and was going to replace the TP Link 541G but never did because the 541G was solid and served my purpose. Bought a Chromecast lately and found that wireless G can no longer cut it. So flashed the 1043ND with 1.71 and everything is fine. No idea if firmwares from TP link is any good since I flashed Gargoyle 1st thing.

My procedure:

Flashed German stock firmware
Flashed 1.71 factory
Flashed 1.71 upgrade

By the way unable to flash the 1.71 firmware until I shorten the name of the firmwares to 171factory.bin and 171upgrade.bin

Hello

Just flashed my new WNDR3700v4 successfully with 1.7.1.
Not a hitch.

I've run gargoyle for years now, but my old WNDR3700v1 broke down.

Keep up the good work devs!

Successfully flashed a TP-Link TL-WDR3600 V1 running stock 3.14.1 firmware to Gargoyle 1.7.1. With the exception of maybe slower wireless connections and lower reported signal strength from devices located in a nearby bedroom, everything else seems to be running smoothly. Perhaps a little tweak will fix er right up. The installation went rather flawlessly. I first updated my factory 3.13.34 firmware to 3.14.1 to insure that I was running the latest firmware. I then logged into the router and did a restore to factory default settings for good measure. Next, I shortened the name of the file and successfully uploaded the Gargoyle 1.7.1 firmware. Filtering out IDENT on Port 113 seemed to be a breeze and I'm looking forward to making good use of those bandwidth report charts, graphs and stats. Now, as time permits, address the potential wireless signal/bitrate issues. Thanks for making Open-Wrt an even better product.
