1.6.2 Cant change default password

Hi guys,
I have just installed 1.6.2 on my TL-WR2543ND and its working great!
Just one thing annoys me: I cant change the default password. Is this a known issue.
Also when is the recent search history in https issue going to be resolved?

Try executing passwd command.
HTTPS means that the traffic between host and client is encrypted, so there is no way for Gargoyle to know what anyone was searching for.

Hi, thanks for your reply. When I try to access the router via telnet it seems to connect but I get a black screen. I cannot see any commands I type or response. Have you seen this before? Same for standard and SSH ports.

Well got a bit further, a message at least:
passwd: can't create '/etc/shadow+': File exists
passwd: can't update password file /etc/shadow
Any ideas?

Reloaded the firmware solved it.
