I haven't been on that thread in a while (it's up over 100 pages!) but all the work is being done on chaos calmer. Gargoyle won't be chaos calmer ready for a long time (time between BB final and gargoyle BB was 4-5 months)

:( That's a bummer. My last exposure to Gargoyle was a good one but I was not on the "bleeding edge".

I will have to be patient.

Thanks,
Chris

Hmm, OpenWRT is pretty solid on the WRT1900AC now... Maybe it's time to break that stability with a new firmware? :-)

Openwrt still hasn't hit a final release for chaos calmer. It's getting close though, RC2 I believe.

Of course it could still be some time after it goes final before Gargoyle catches up.

You could try building your own version if you like. I had a go but I got stuck on a dependency error and didn't bother digging much further to be honest.

Sorry if I am being thick but I do not see and cannot find WRT1900ac on the download page. And it is not listed the supported routers list.

I don't want to brick my new $200 router but I really want gargoyle!

It's there.
However please load the latest build from this thread instead:

It is a torrent file which you will have to unzip to find your firmware.
Your router is under the "mvebu" architecture.

Please double check which firmware version you need to load (caiman, cobra or mamba) as they are different and that would result in a brick. If you need assistance with this please let me know.
