Serial console problems with TP-LINK WR1043ND V5

Post by perm73 »

Hello everyone.

I installed the Gargoyle firmware and all OK but I then restored the original firmware and the router does not run.
I have connected via serial port from console (putty) but the "enter" key does not work. When I enter, appear strange catarteres.
I have tested changing all settings in Putty but "enter key" is not working properly.

Could somebody help me, please?
At the end of this post, you will see the characters shown.

Best regards.

Hello everyone.
Now if you really need help. The router will not start and all LEDs flash simultaneously, several times. I have connected the serial port and enter (return key) does not work.
This is the boot log.

Hello Nebbia, Thanks you...
I've done it several times (typing tpl) but does not work
I can not enter U-Boot Mode
What I can do? ... Sure I have to type tpl?
I see myself bouncing the router to the trash and do not want  :?

Hello everyone!
I was unable to access, typing "tpl". The problem I had was the cable.
Now I have another problem. Strange characters appear.
That may be happening?
I have tested with all the settings in Putty but I can not "stabilize" the connection.
See the attached images.

usually bad solder joing or too long cable (keep it under 10 inches..).

or ttl adapter gone bad, usually the 2$ usb ttl adapters works ok for some months and then die :D
