Sorry, I am not a techy guy.
I'd say you need to be a techie guy to do this upgrade properly. For this particular router, the procedure is complex.

The upgrade to 1043ND is super-simple and the router, while not quite as powerful as the Buffalo, will still do 50Mbit-class for you. And it's under $50.

With the TP-Link 1043ND you would have finished this yesterday in 15 minutes.

Are you really pushing over 50Mbit with QOS anyway?

Let us know how you make out.

In the "Success Stories" area, I found a testimonial from someone who bricked his NH2 a week or so ago, then recovered it to factory then tftp'ed 1.5.7 onto it.

See below.

After bricking my new WZR-HP-G300NH2 A1A0 router with 1.5.6 a couple months ago, I recovered it using the TFTP back to the factory .enc then loaded 1.5.7 (tftp version) successfully. Red Diagnostic LED does stay lit, but Gargoyle works fine. Using QoS and quota's. Been up for a day. If there is any trouble discovered, I'll post to the 1.5.7 News thread.

Great work! Been using Gargoyle to manage traffic at an RV campe for a couple of years. Thank you Gargoyle team!

So perhaps it's a simple TFTP flash with 1.5.7?

Let us know; I've got my eye on the Buffalo as well.

Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH2 is complex...oh NO :(

Thank you bawjkt for your encouragement, support and advice. Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH2 is only router I have. For now, I only want to use "Quota" feature for Gargoyle router. I will try to follow the email from "rfdude".
Thanks
