Eric,
Gargoyle compiled for openwrt/trunk for WRT160NL seems to work. But now, gargroyle support only broadcom and atheros radios. How about mac80211 (ath5k/ath9k)? Would be nice to see suport for this.

I agree that would be nice, but... the biggest and most annoying bugs I've had to deal are all in getting wireless to work properly. In my experience, wireless doesn't "just work," when I add support for a driver. Getting it even close to how I want it to behave is like pulling teeth. It's been hard just handling all the problems with madwifi and broadcom.

So, I will probably add support for other drivers eventually, but each additional driver is going to require a lot of effort. I definitely want to get some of the issues with the current drivers worked out first.

Does gargoyle work on the wrt160nl without having to do anything to the firmware?

I wouldn't count on this being supported anytime soon.

Even DD-WRT does not have it supported yet.

OpenWRT looks like its getting some BETA support, and since
Gargoyle is using OpenWRT sources, I would say not yet!

Don't try unless you're willing to do hardware recovery on it.

WRT160NL is supported by opnwrt/trunk. There is a problem with "N" mode (performance), but everything else is working correctly now.
