1.13.x will support them.
You can compile it yourself already if you wish from the master branch of the got repository.

I asked my colleague to compile V1.13 from GitHub for my Archer C60 (which he kindly did since I don't know how to do that). The file I used was called gargoyle_1.13.x-ath79-generic-tplink_archer-c60-v2-squashfs-factory.bin, which I re-named to gargoyle.bin and tried to upgrade using the factory firmware GUI. I got an error: ! Invalid file type.

What is the next step?
Thanks!

Latest OEM firmware prevents installation via OEM firmware upgrade paths (tftp and WebUI).
From the wiki.

Not much you can do.
Find a way to downgrade to an earlier factory firmware, or find a new hole in the factory firmware that will let you in :)
