plugin installation issue

Post by erez669 »

i have a firmware v1.10 of gargoyle on tp-link tl-wr1043nd v2.1 and want to install plugins, my router configure as an access point only to another primary router, the connection between 2 routers are fine, but i get an error "plugins need an internet connection to refresh" i have an active internet connection, and the plugin list not refreshed.
how can i fix the plugin refresh problems? or how to install plugins via ssh connection, i want to install wifi scheduler via web interface but i can't do this.

Does your device have enough Flash space?

Have you tired the USB storage option?

If your router is connected via LAN to LAN or with Connect Via: disabled, then for the purpose of plugin installation you don't have an internet connection.

Yes, if you get the plugin file and put it in /tmp, you can install it from there
gpkg install /tmp/plugin.ipk

The problem with this method is it gets installed in a different way and you then can't manage it via the plugins page. If you ever wanted to remove it you would need to use the command line again.

Set up the router as shown (IP address 192.168.1.52 is just an example) and the pugins should work.

It is important that the WAN port is set to "Disabled" or bridged to the LAN.

I set up the router according to your picture:

and the plugin list has loaded (works):

 The problem may be in DNS (Google DNS Servers) - change DNS to Custom DNS Servers and enter IP 192.168.1.1

:?: Do you only want plugins? If you also want OpenWrt packages, you need to change the source address (OpenWrt moved old packages to the archive).
