Post by erez669 »

i have 1.9.0 of gargoyle, just consider to upgrade to 1.10 latest one, but afraid to brick the unit.
please confirm testing and everything is ok with the upgrade.
if everything is ok with this version on v2.1 hardware, then i install it.

thats not answering to my question, theoretically it should work, but want to make sure with people that practically install and try it, not on paper only, on real life, because third party firmwares are risky and no way to recover and warranty after failure process.

Risk is very low when switching between versions if you DON'T PRESERVE settings or use a back up file

1.10 is beeing used for a long time now. 1043 is a very popular router. If you read the forum, you'll meet many users running it.

If you don't mess it up, you'll be fine. Flashing a router is never a riskless thing though.
