I have a TP-Link WR1043ND V2.
I flashed Gargoyle 1.10 to it.
I then forgot my login password.
I have tried entering failsafe and resetting the password using PuTTY, but while I can reset the root password, it does not reset the login password.
What am I doing wrong?

The root password IS the login password.
If you can’t get it to work successfully, failsafe reset
